　　打電話訂酒店的英語對話

　　Hello. Royal Imperial Hotel.

　　你好，皇家帝國酒店。

　　Oh, hello. I’d like to check availability and rates for a room.

　　你好，我想查一下有沒有空房間還有房間價格。

　　When for?

　　您什么時間入住?

　　For three nights from tonight. Your best room please!

　　從今晚開始，總共三晚。請給我你們最好的房間!

　　All our rooms are the best! But…yes, we have one. It’s ?100 a night.

　　我們所有的房間都是最好的!不過……我們有一間特別好的。100英鎊一晚。

　　Right. I work with Tom…Tom Darcy…his friend runs the hotel. I wondered if you could offer me a special rate?

　　好的，我的同事是Tom……Tom Darcy……貴酒店是他朋友開的。我想知道你們能不能給我一個優惠折扣?

　　Tom Darcy? No I’ve never heard of him. Sorry, it’s still ?100.

　　Tom Darcy?我從沒聽過這個人啊。對不起，價格還是100英鎊。

　　Does the price include breakfast?

　　價格里面包含早餐嗎?

　　Yes. We offer a full continental breakfast of toast, or bread, oh, and tea…or coffee….and cereal.

　　是的，我們提供全套的歐式早餐，有土司或者面包，噢，還有茶或者咖啡。還有麥片粥。

　　Oh. And do you have any business facilities?

　　好的。那你們有什么商務設施嗎?

　　Well, we’ve got paper and pens.

　　I was thinking, internet, wi-fi… shoe-shine?

　　那你們有網絡、wi-fi……或者擦鞋機嗎?

　　Yes. We’ve got that.

　　Good. And most importantly, is this a single room?

　　We’ve only got twin rooms.

　　我們只有雙人間。

　　Twins? You’ve only got room for twins?

　　雙人間?你們只有雙人間?

　　No. We could take a bed out and just leave one in, if you want?

　　也不是，如果你一定要單人間的話，我們可以拿出一張床。

　　Oh that would be perfect. In that case, I’d like to go ahead and make a reservation please.那樣最好了。這樣的話我就可以給你們發確認函了。

　　Good. How would you like to pay?

　　好的，您想怎樣付款呢?

　　Well done Anna for booking the hotel but I have a feeling Tom’s recommendation may not be as luxurious as he says. Let’s hear the phrases Anna used when booking a hotel: Hello, I’d like to check availability and prices for a room please. Does the price include breakfast? Are there any business facilities such as internet and wi-fi? I’d like to go ahead and make the reservation please. So the room is booked. I wonder what Mr Socrates will think of it?
