　　come clean 直譯過來就是：“變干凈”，所以這個(gè)短語的正確意思是：“全盤招供，坦白交待，和盤托出”。因此，當(dāng)美國人說"You’d better come clean."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"You’d better tell the truth."、"You’d better not tell lies."、"You’d better be frank."。
